Team to get floodlit pitch

FLOODLIGHTS are set to be installed at the home of a Lothian football team under plans submitted to council chiefs.

The six proposed floodlights will be sited around the pitch at Kings Park in Eskbank Road, in Dalkeith, Midlothian.

The pitch is used by Dalkeith Thistle.

The team’s unbeaten home record came to an end when they were beaten 1-0 by Bathgate Thistle in the premier league of the east juniors division at the weekend.
