Surgeries are more flexible

THE vast majority of doctors’ surgeries in the Lothians are now offering flexible opening times, figures have revealed.

NHS Lothian said 106 of 126 surgeries offer early morning, late evening and Saturdays.

Edinburgh Central SNP MSP Marco Biagi said: “The extended hours initiative is helping residents of Edinburgh see their GP at the most convenient times for them.

“It is important the NHS is flexible and provides the necessary late evenings and early mornings patients require.”
