Student cafe on market

A CAFE which is popular with Edinburgh University students has been put up for sale.

The recently refurbished Olive Tree cafe and bistro on the corner of Marshall Street and Potterrow has been put on the market.

Barry McNeil, associate director with agency Christie & Co, said the cafe’s location close to the main teaching buildings of Edinburgh University meant it was well-used by students, businesspeople and tourists.

He said: “The Olive Tree has been extensively refurbished and upgraded with an up-to-date style and the provision for outdoor seating.

“We think the Olive Tree offers an excellent opportunity for hands-on owners to take on a well-established trading business, which has the potential for further growth.”
