Stars light up Ocean Terminal

CHRISTMAS arrived at Ocean Terminal when Cornonation Street actor Jack Shepherd – who plays bad boy David Platt – and former X Factor contestant Kitty Brucknell joined seven-year-old Imogen Aitken to switch on the festive lights.

Imogen is part of the Compass Choir of Haddington, who performed during the Christmas curtain-raiser, while special guest Santa was piped in to the shopping centre in Leith.

Dozens of free tickets to visit Santa were given away and local radio station Castle FM were on hand to record the fun.

Dennis Jones, store manager at Ocean Terminal, said: “Kitty provided the entertainment aspect and Coronation Street is an iconic soap, so people know exactly who Jack is.”
