SRU bosses in Japan bid

SCOTTISH Rugby bosses are to travel to Japan in a bid to sell the naming rights for Murrayfield Stadium to some of the world’s biggest multinational companies.

SRU chief executive Mark Dodson is due to fly out next week to meet business leaders, hoping to persuade the likes of Sony, Hitachi, Honda, Toyota or whisky makers Suntory to put their name to the stadium as part of a multi-million pound deal.

Japan is due to host the Rugby World Cup in 2019.
