Sleepy driver over the limit

POLICE who were called to a nightclub incident found a driver asleep at the wheel of his car.

Half a dozen people had surrounded the Audi TT Quattro outside the club in Livingston, West Lothian.

Livingston Sheriff Court heard that although the engine was running, driver Zoltan Varga seemed unconscious.

Varga, of Livingston, West Lothian, admitted being in charge of a car with a breath-alcohol count of 62mg – well over the 35mg limit. He also admitted possessing cocaine.

The 34-year-old was fined £336 – £66 of which was for the drugs offence.
