Site thieves net materials worth £3,500
THIEVES made off with £3,500 of building materials after raiding a construction site.
The culprits targeted the site in Western Harbour Drive between Monday, 9 November and Friday, 13 November.
The suspects gained access to the yard and loaded the equipment onto a van before making off.
Approximately 100 stainless steel pipes and 30 balcony fittings with an estimated cost of 3,500 are believed to have been taken.
A police spokesman said: "The suspects may not have looked out of place in the building site but we are keen to speak to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area.
"Anyone else who has information that can assist our inquiries should also get in touch as soon as possible."
