SIR Tom Farmer was to open a discussion at the Scottish Parliament about how our ageing population can give Scotland a competitive advantage.

Sir Tom, the 68-year-old Leith-born Kwik Fit founder, was set to address The National Forum on Ageing Futures Group during its debate on realising the potential of an older population.
