Silence is golden and delivers results

SILENCE in the classroom can improve children’s behaviour and exam results and “enrich their educational experience”.

Dr Helen Lees, of Stirling University claims teachers who have introduced silence techniques such as meditation and silent reading have seen results improve.

She cited the work of actor Goldie Hawn whose foundation is championing “strong silence”.
