Seaside town tunes up for festival of traditional music

The Dunbar Traditional Music Festival takes a step closer to its silver anniversary by bringing another packed programme for its 24th year.

Organisers say that the festival is committed to showcasing local and young talent alongside more established and internationally known artists.

Some of Scotland’s best-loved musicians, including Phil Cunningham, Aly Bain, Sandy Legget and Ian Davidson have graced the festival in previous years and organisers say that this year’s programme should be a match for previous line-ups.

The 2012 Festival runs from September 28-30 with more tha 30 gigs in 16 venues in and around Dunbar, bringing a wide range of music to suit most tastes – from traditional Scottish and Irish to jazz, blues, folk and rock.
