Sean Connery gives voice to latest Tattoo advert
SIR Sean Connery is to lend his gravelly tones to a new TV advert for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
The 79-year-old recorded the commentary at a studio in the Bahamas, where he now lives, and it was sent digitally to a production company in West Linton.
His voice will run over a series of fast-moving clips from this summer's Tattoo in the advert, which is hoped will boost sales of the DVD of the show.
Tattoo chief executive and producer, Major General Euan Loudon CBE, said: "We are delighted that Sir Sean has generously agreed to help support our activities which we hope will in turn also further strengthen our charitable endeavours. There is no bigger voice than Sir Sean's for that big marketplace impact."
