SCOTTISH pupils are to be taught how to make their own smartphone apps under an ambitious shake-up of the 
curriculum.

SCOTTISH pupils are to be taught how to make their own smartphone apps under an ambitious shake-up of the curriculum.

The development aims to revitalise the teaching of computing science by making it more relevant.

New materials to equip the next generation of pupils for the workplace have been developed for Scottish schools under a partnership between the British Computing Society and the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
