Say czesc to Polish cultural festival in city
TICKETS have gone on sale for Edinburgh's first Polish Cultural Festival.
The week-long series of events runs from April 20-26 and will take place at 14 different venues across the Capital.
Lidia Krzynwek, festival founder and director, said: "The festival has been programmed, fund-raised and staffed entirely by a voluntary network of Polish people.
"It is our wish that the festival will allow our Scottish friends to gain a deeper understanding of who we are and for everyone in Edinburgh to unite in doing what they do better than anywhere – raising a glass."
Malcolm Chisholm, MSP for Edinburgh North and Leith, added: "The programme on offer from the Polish Cultural Festival Association will, I believe, be of enormous appeal both to the many Polish people in Scotland and also to the wider Scottish community."
