Saucy sausage advert rapped for innuendo

A SEXUALLY suggestive ad campaign for smoked pork sausages was rapped by the advertising watchdog today.

The innuendo-filled radio adverts for Mattesons sausages, which were broadcast on Forth One, asked listeners where they would like to "stick it".

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) upheld complaints that the ads should not have been aired when children were likely to be listening.

It found that although the ads were not sexually explicit, and younger children were unlikely to understand, the innuendo was not appropriate for older children.

The ASA ruled that the four adverts must no longer be aired at times when children were likely to be listening.
