Road death OAP named

An elderly woman who died after being knocked down near a hospital has been named.

Mary Dawson, 81, from Argyle Park Terrace, was crossing the road outside the Anne Ferguson Building of the Western General Hospital at around 4pm last Tuesday when she was involved in a collision with a Skoda Superb car.

She was treated at the scene but died as a result of her injuries. Police have asked anyone in the area at the time of the collision who can assist officers to come forward.
