Rival bus firms sign pact
TWO bus companies have signed a groundbreaking partnership agreement aimed at improving their services and punctuality.
The agreement was signed by First Aberdeen and Stagecoach at a ceremony in Aberdeen's Town House yesterday, attended by representatives of the city council, Aberdeenshire Council, and the area's transport organisation, Nestrans.
The agreement reinforces the commitment of all five partners to work together to achieve improvements for bus passengers across the North-east.
It includes a series of set standards and targets, to be monitored on an annual basis, aimed at increasing the number of bus passengers in the region by at least ten per cent over the next five years.
