Restaurants join fight to beat hunger

During October restaurants in Edinburgh are joining forces with the UK foodie fraternity to support Action Against Hunger’s Love Food Give Food appeal, which calls on food lovers nationwide to help raise funds to provide malnourished children with the nutrition they need to grow, learn and develop.

This year, Love Food Give Food is set to be bigger than ever, as the UK Government will match pound for pound all public donations in support of the appeal.

Real foodies can also organise their own nights and donate money to the appeal.

Hundreds of restaurants across the nation are supporting it by giving customers the opportunity to add a small donation to their bill or offering certain dishes where a percentage of the cost goes to Action Against Hunger.

Participating restaurants in Edinburgh include: Angels With Bagpipes, in the High Street; Belushi’s, Market Street; Café St Honore, North West Thistle Street Lane; La Garrigue, Jeffrey Street and Commercial Street and Little Chef Dreghorn Link, City
Bypass.
