Restaurant up for sale

AN Italian restaurant in the city centre has been put up for sale. La Lanterna, in Hanover Street, has been put on the market by restaurateur Toni Zaino, with offers over £85,000 being invited.

Barry McNeil, associate director at Christie + Co, who is handling the sale, said: “La Lanterna has been somewhat of an Edinburgh institution and Toni is very well-regarded within the restaurant circle.

“She has owned and operated the business since the late 70s or early 80s but the time has come for her to consider retiring.”
