Restaurant tastes glory
A RESTAURANT sited near Penicuik has been voted the best in Scotland.
The Howgate Restaurant in Howgate Village, Midlothian, won the accolade from the Hi-Life Diners Club, an English-based marketing organisation with more than 3500 member restaurants in the UK.
Peter Ridgway, one of the Howgate’s directors, said the award was a tribute to the whole team at the restaurant.

Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 12:09 PMIs this really the best that the EN can come up with in terms of news? More of an advert really. The Hi-Life diners club is a discount scheme for restaurants with only 200,000 members - I doubt that more than 0.01% have actually visited this restaurant. "Lies, damned lies and statistics springs to mind."
