Rescuers come to aid of thrill–seeker
A KITE-SURFER was rescued after he became stuck on rocks near a castle.
The alarm was raised at about 6pm on Saturday when someone spotted the surfer in difficulty on the cliffs near Slains Castle in Aberdeenshire.
Rescue helicopter 137 from RAF Lossiemouth was scrambled and coastguard teams from Peterhead and Cruden Bay were also sent to the scene.
The coastguard teams used their rope rescue gear to lift the man to safety.
He was not injured and did not need medical attention.
