Repair yard blaze ‘started deliberately’

A FIRE that destroyed 14 vehicles in a repair yard was started deliberately, police have said. Around 20 people were evacuated from nearby homes as firefighters tackled the blaze at Ferrymill Motors in Campsie Road, Torrance, East Dunbartonshire, on Monday.

Eight buses and six caravans were destroyed and propane cylinders stored in the yard exploded because of the heat.
