Relay’s legs need runners

Runners are needed to help a specialist doctor set up a group of marathon relay teams.

Breast cancer surgeon Professor Mike Dixon is supporting Breakthrough Breast Cancer by taking part in the Edinburgh Marathon Team Relay with three of his colleagues from the Western General Hospital.

Now he and the charity are calling for people to also join the run and help boost the amount raised.

Professor Dixon, clinical lead of Breakthrough’s Research Unit in Edinburgh, has previously run the Great North Run and Great Scottish Run half marathons, and last year he was joined by a team made up of former patients, their relatives and friends, who together raised more than £21,000.

To sponsor, visit www.justgiving.com/ProfessorMike Dixon and to enter a relay team call 0131-226 0761.
