Rea in high spirits for gig

SINGER Chris Rea will appear in the Capital next month as part of his UK tour.

He will take to the stage at the Usher Hall on March 28 to promote the release of his first new material in more than a decade.

The Santo Spirito Project includes a new studio album and two feature films written and directed by Rea – one about bullfighting, featuring neo-classical and Spanish-themed gypsy music, and the second following a man on a journey through the city of Florence.

The gig begins at 7.30pm, with tickets priced from £30.

His last record was in 2008. The Return of the Fabulous Hofner Bluenotes. Again, do some research.

To the author of this: Not his first new material in 10 years. Do some research. To the guy who said the Dire Rea joke, old joke not funny. You are a moron.

Apparently Dire Straits were going to make a guest appearance, with the new line up named Dire Rea.
