Put the boot into intolerance and pitch in for our diversity
FOOTBALLERS from different faiths and cultures will play in a tournament to celebrate diversity and raise funds for charity.
The Edinburgh Inter-Faith Association is inviting five-a-side teams to enter its annual Diversity Cup on Saturday, 20 June, raising funds for the Hope into Homes project, which helps people in Malawi build houses.
Edinburgh Central MSP Sarah Boyack said: "The aims which the Diversity Cup hopes to achieve are things we should all be aiming for in our everyday lives – encouraging interaction between different cultures and faiths, promoting respect between people and generally celebrating Edinburgh's rich diversity."
The event, held at the Corn Exchange, raised 770 last year.
