Purpose-built dental centre ready to open
WORKERS have completed a major £1 million transformation of Bonnyrigg Health Centre into an emergency dental facility.
The major refurbishment of the former NHS Lothian medical centre involved stripping out, demolishing and reconfiguring rooms to create the five dental suites, which will accommodate approximately 20 dental professionals, including dentists and dental care staff, as well as extending the facilities to include a seated reception area.
Stuart Bauchop, architect with NHS Lothian, said: "This project has enabled us to significantly improve dental services for the people of Bonnyrigg and its surrounding area."
Campbell Kerr, primary care premises facilitator, said: "I am delighted that we have now completed this important project and are able to offer the local community a purpose-built state-of-the-art dental centre."
