Pupils’ question time for MP

SCHOOL pupils fired questions at their local MP during an event designed to spark their interest in democracy.

Labour’s Graeme Morrice attended the Question Time-style debate at West Lothian College as part of Parliament Week.

Pupils from Deans Community High School, Inveralmond Community High School, St Margaret’s Academy and West Calder High School put their points to the Livingston MP.

Mr Morrice said: “It was great to meet with young people from all across West Lothian and answer their questions.”

Patrick Clarke, a modern studies teacher at West Calder High School, added: “It was great to hear from Graeme and learn more about his role as MP.”
