Pupils hand over artwork

Schoolchildren from Canal View Primary School in Wester Hailes were this morning handing over a piece of artwork to mark the The Princess Royal’s visit to The Falkirk Wheel.

The artwork has been designed to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Millennium Link.

The Princess Royal will visit The Falkirk Wheel on Friday and unveil Blossom, a permanent artwork featuring its roundels designed by schoolchildren in each of the seven local authority areas along the Millennium Link.

A flotilla of some 60 boats will gather at The Falkirk Wheel tomorrow to celebrate the tenth anniversary which will continue into Saturday.
