Pumpherston village gala day cancelled

Pumpherston has become the latest village in West Lothian to have its annual community gala day axed.

The cancellation was announced after a meeting called to discuss this year’s planned event failed to drum up enough support. Committee numbers have fallen to just three.

A torchlight parade will still go ahead in November.

Seafield’s gala day is also on the brink of folding after  struggling to find helpers.
