Public to get their say on waste facility
PROPOSALS to develop a waste treatment facility at a site in Midlothian are to be put to the public.
Both Edinburgh and Midlothian councils recently agreed to purchase a derelict site in the Millerhill area on which a waste treatment facility could be built.
No decision has yet been made on what type of facility will be built.
Midlothian Councillor Russell Imrie said: "We know reduction, reuse and recycling is very important for the environment, but we now need to look at recovering value from what is left."
The events will take place at the Danderhall Community Centre, Newtonchurch Road, Danderhall, tomorrow, from 11am-4pm, and next Tuesday, from 7pm-9pm.
