Pub proves a St Pat’s pint

A PUB claims to have smashed a ‘Guinness’ world record with most pints sold in a day.

The Three Sisters, on the Cowgate, served more than 11,000 pints of the black stuff on St Patrick’s Day.

It beat its own previous UK record by 1000 pints, serving up a whopping 688 an hour.

Boyzone’s Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy showed up to entertain crowds and started a rap battle with Irish favourites the Rubber Bandits.

Extra pairs of hands were drafted in from a sister pub in Glasgow to help serve the thirsty customers celebrating the landmark occasion.
