Provost praises city-based soldiers killed on duty
LORD Provost George Grubb is to table a motion at next week's full council meeting passing condolences to four Edinburgh-based soldiers who died in Afghanistan.
Lance Corporal Christopher Roney, Rifleman Aidan Howell, Corporal Lee Brownson and Rifleman Luke Farmer were all serving for 3rd Battalion The Rifles (3 Rifles).
In his motion, Councillor Grubb said: "Council expresses its sympathy to the families of the dedicated and brave soldiers who have lost their lives in service of their country."
