EMMA Glacken was giving away red roses on Princes Street to promote the arrival of The Phantom of the Opera at the Playhouse.

The classic Andrew Lloyd Webber production opens at the theatre on September 19 and runs until October 20.

Actors John Owen-Jones and Earl Carpenter will play the Phantom, with the role of Christine being played by Katie Hall.

In October 2010 the show put on its 10,000th London performance and has also been on Broadway for longer than any other show.
