Princess opens research centre

A RESEARCH centre aimed at finding treatments for major diseases has been opened by the Princess Royal.

The Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine, near Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, will house scientists looking at conditions such as multiple sclerosis and heart and liver disease. The £54 million centre is the first purpose-built facility of its kind in the UK.
