Pride Scotia parade brings colour to city
COLOURFUL costumes were the order of the day as thousands of people flocked to the Capital for Saturday's Pride Scotia parade.
The event, Scotland's biggest gay pride march, saw participants gather outside the City Chambers before setting off down the Royal Mile, past Holyrood and around Abbeyhill and Royal Terrace to the Omni Centre on Greenside Place.
The event saw uniformed police officers taking part for the first time ever, as members of the Gay Police Association from around the UK joined the parade.
The day included a health and community fair at the Mood bar in the Omni Centre, with a performance by the Edinburgh Gay Men's Chorus.
The march marked the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall riots in New York.
