Prestonpans loud music pest gets ASBO

A WOMAN with a long history of antisocial behaviour has been banned from playing loud music at her home.

A WOMAN with a long history of antisocial behaviour has been banned from playing loud music at her home.

Isobel Stewart, from Prestonpans, was served with an ASBO which bans her from disturbing neighbours by playing music at the property and also from visiting another street in the town where she had previously caused “alarm and distress” to others.

An interim ASBO was granted against Stewart, 49, by Sheriff Celia Sanderson at Haddington Sheriff Court.

A spokesman for East Lothian Council said: “Isobel Stewart has been issued with several warnings regarding her bad behaviour, which she has ignored.

“The council uses ASBOs only as a last resort but is determined to stamp out disruptive and distressing behaviour.”
