'Poor publicty' means a low turnout for Links plan meeting
ONLY 15 people turned out for a public meeting to discuss plans for a huge development plan in Leith.
Campaign group Greener Leith said discussions on the Leith Links Seaward Extension had not been publicised well enough.
The lobby group, dedicated to improving the area, said many people had missed out on the chance to air their views.
The meeting, organised by the council's planning department and architects, was staged to discuss some of the various options for the eventual expansion of Leith Links.
A spokesman for Greener Leith said:
"A number of people we spoke to felt that the meeting was poorly attended because the council did not promote the meeting well enough.
"It is perhaps telling that the council neglected to inform the Leith Links Allotments Site representative of the meeting."
