Police target Beltane revellers in search for missing Samantha
POLICE handed out more than 1000 leaflets to revellers at the Beltane Fire Festival on Calton Hill in a fresh bid to trace a woman who vanished more than ten months ago.
Samantha Wright was last seen at a Jobcentre in High Riggs in June last year, although she was not reported missing until February, after failing to contact her family over Christmas, or for her birthday on January 5.
The 25-year-old, who lived in Saughton, is known to have attended the fire festival previously and officers hoped this year's visitors may be able to provide a breakthrough.
Police also used Bluetooth to deliver a mobile phone appeal to many of the 10,000 people who turned out for the event.
