Police out to catch cyclists

A POLICE crackdown has targeted young cyclists travelling in the wrong direction through a one-way system in an East Lothian town.

Officers in North Berwick said they had received a number of reports about the issue, as well as cyclists riding in the dark without lights.

The town’s community beat officer, Pc Laura Dobbie, said: “We are speaking with newsagents because paper deliverers have been spotted cycling in the wrong direction.”
