Police hunting balaclava man

A WOMAN has been injured in an attempted robbery on her home in Perth which police described as a “despicable attack”.

The 68-year-old was confronted by a man who had gained entry to her property at around 7:30pm on Sunday.

The man, who was wearing a balaclava, demanded money but left empty-handed after the incident at Bridgend Court.

However, the woman suffered an injury to her face and was treated at the scene by paramedics. She did not need to go to hospital but will require further treatment, Tayside Police said.
