Police conduct extra patrols

POLICE are carrying out extra patrols in a Lothian town in a bid to deter thieves targeting properties and vehicles.

The action follows complaints over thieves from residents in Dunbar, East Lothian at a community policing meeting.

Residents also urged officers to tackle parking problems in the Countess area of the town. In response, police pledged to conduct additional patrols at the fire station car park and at Bleachingfield Community Centre.
