POLICE are trying to find a missing schoolboy who disappeared from his Stirling school last Thursday.

Greg Brown, 15, was last seen leaving Stirling High School. He is described as 5ft 5in tall, of medium build, with short fair hair. Police have appealed for the teenager to get in touch, saying they are concerned for his safety.

The school has circulated his photograph on social media websites.

It tweeted: “Greg’s family are understandably worried about him and have asked us to circulate this picture.”

Last night, Inspector Carole Carr said: “While he has gone missing before he has always returned promptly. However, on this occasion he has been missing much longer than on the previous occasions.”

• Strathclyde Police are appealing for help in tracing a vulnerable 78-year-old man from Milton, Glasgow.

James McInnes, 78, who suffers from dementia, was last seen by his wife at about 4:30pm yesterday when he left his house.

Mr McInnes is white, around 5ft 10in tall with short grey hair. He was wearing a beige jacket, brown trousers and dark trousers.

Det Insp Bob Shaw said: “An extensive search is under way. As the temperature plummets officers and Mr McInnes’s family are very worried for his safety.

“His family believe he has his bus pass with him, so I would appeal to anyone who may have seen him on a bus to get in touch.
