Plea to back hovercraft bid
POLITICIANS from all parties have been urged to give their support to the cross-Forth hovercraft service.
Stagecoach this week halted all work on the Kirkcaldy-to-Leith link due to growing frustration that the project was becoming a "political football".
The Liberal Democrat transport spokeswoman Alison McInnes MSP said: "The delay to the hovercraft service is frustrating, especially given the hugely positive response to the trial in summer last year.
"I am disappointed that Stagecoach feels that the project has been used as a political football and I urge politicians from all parties to give their backing to a permanent hovercraft service across the Forth."
