Pitch invasion costs football fan £400

A FOOTBALL fan who ran on to the pitch during a Scottish Cup match has been fined £400.

Kevin Stark, 21, jumped over a barrier at East End Park shortly after Aberdeen scored the only goal of the match against Dunfermline Athletic on 26 September, the Crown Office said.

Stark, from Limekilns in Fife, was quickly apprehended and escorted away. He admitted breach of the peace.

Faith Millar, football liaison prosecutor for the east of Scotland, said: “Running on to the pitch was reckless and irresponsible and caused alarm to others.”
