Piping in gas work funds

A £5 MILLION scheme which could improve the energy efficiency of households in East Lothian has been unveiled.

The Gas Infill Loans Scheme will offer funding to homeowners, local authorities, registered social landlords and other organisations working in partnership with their local Energy Saving Scotland Advice Centres to enable more households to connect to the gas grid.

Health Secretary Alex Neil, who was until yesterday InfraStructure and Capital Investment Secretary, said: “I would strongly urge homeowners to take advantage of this scheme.”
