Pedestrian killed on Edinburgh city bypass

A MAN has died after he was struck by a lorry on the Edinburgh city bypass, according to police.

The pedestrian was hit by a Mercedes HGV on the A720 at the Lothianburn junction on the westbound carriageway at 11:40pm on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old man died at the scene. No other vehicles or people were involved in the incident.
