Open event is real lifesaver

AN open evening is to be held for people who want to learn how to save a life.

West Calder First Aiders needs new volunteers and will host the event on Monday, August 27 from 5.30pm to 8.30pm in West Calder Community Education Centre.

Commandant Craig Meeks said: “From as little as two hours a week, you can devote as much or as little time as suits you. We can teach you first aid skills that could save a life, help to deal with an emergency and make a real difference in your community.”
