Officers to host safety surgeries
POLICE are hosting “street surgeries” to allow residents to meet officers from their Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT).
The surgeries are to be held tomorrow and on Friday in Albert Street and Buchanan Street in Leith between noon and 1pm.
Members of the SNT are aiming to talk to every business and homeowner in the area to promote good relations and listen to their concerns.
Sergeant Mark Hamilton said: “We hope the community will see this as a good opportunity to get to know the local officers, so we can build relationships and address their concerns.”
Councillor Paul Edie, the city’s community safety leader, said: “This is a great opportunity for the Leith community to discuss the issues that affect them with council, police and fire service officers.”
