Office worker used home as drugs factory

A PENSIONS administrator turned his home into a drugs factory, which was discovered during a police raid.

White powder was found in a food processor and in a mixer at Gareth Morris’ house at Meggetland View.

Forensic scientists found traces of cocaine, as well as caffeine and benzocaine, commonly used to “cut” or dilute the class A drug.

They seized cocaine which could have been sold for £400 on the streets, and almost two-and-a-half kilos of benzocaine.

They also found small plastic bags and more than £4000 in cash and eight mobile phones in the house.

At the High Court in Edinburgh yesterday, Morris admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine between December 1 and December 14 last year. Judge Lord Uist called for background reports before sentencing Morris, 34, next month.
