Nursery project harvests good will for elderly

NURSERY children have donated food to the elderly as part of a harvest project.

Filled shoe boxes, decorated by youngsters from the Owl and Pussycat Children's Nursery in Liberton, were given to residents at the Four Seasons Care Home in Gilmerton last week.

Parents donated the food, allowing pre-school children, toddlers and babies to take it to the home, where they sang to residents who provided refreshments and spoke with their visitors.
