New whisky book is not to be sniffed at
A GIANT nose takes in the sights of the Capital as part of a publicity campaign for a new book about whisky blending.
The 6ft-high beak was spotted in the city's Multrees Walk, the Royal Mile and Princes Street Gardens.
The model is based on whiskey blender Richard Patterson's nose.
The book – Goodness Nose – gives an insight into the world of whisky blending and covers the history of Whyte and Mackay and its distilleries. Penned by Gavin D Smith, it reveals the classifications of whiskies from the 200 years.
